Happy Birthday Amy!

Keith's girlfriend, and I use the term girlfriend loosely, celebrated her 32nd birthday on Monday. He is obsessed with birthday parties so with his video birthday message he promptly asked what her party theme would be. Ha!

Here is how the party went...

He also insisted on getting her his own gift... And it had to be either a red or purple dress because it would be pretty like Amy. We found a pretty purple one. 😊

Happy Birthday Amy Jane!

Warm weather and the final four

This weekend is always a hard one. Daddy's work schedule always involves lots of travel but for a few brief weeks prior to the Final Four he is home, and Keith and I get spoiled. This when this weekend rolls around, we are bummed to see him go. I am really bummed because that means no breaks from mom duties AT ALL, even bathroom breaks include an extra little person!

Knowing this would be a long long weekend, we headed out for sunshine on Friday afternoon. The Easter Bunny brought Keith a yoda kite so we made our best attempt at flying it.

We definitely needed more wind, but he had fun trying. It is bitter sweet that he is old enough to do this on his own. I have so enjoyed seeing him grow up right before my eyes.

So since kite flying was questionable....off to baseball or cheese all. Look at this face!

And then Friday came to an end.

Saturday brought soccer and tears. I had to work on Tuesday night when he had a game, so his stuff was in daddy's car. Oops, mom forgot to make sure daddy got it all out before he left. Soooooo after tears over no shin guards and frantically rushing out the door, Walmart saved the day. New shin guards, and a backup for next time this happens.

And he played well...two goals. Yeah!

Our day ended with the yard moved, floors swept, baths taken early and out the door for some Buffalo Wild Wings with our friends. Sadly, they are moving in the next few weeks for an awesome job in Florida. While I am super happy for them, I will desperately miss my friends. This will also be the first time, Keith loses a friend to a move. It will be a hard thing for him...he loves his buddy Noah. We all do.

It's Sunday... Off to church shortly. Have a happy Sunday and a great start to your week too.

Back to the blog world and employed again.

Holy buckets, so I pretty much missed blogging most of last year. My life was a whirlwind of grief with the loss of my Nan, my mom's battle with breast cancer and struggling with being mom and wife.

So much has changed...

I have taken my life back with the help of God and my blessed counselor. I had half my thyroid out because of nodules, started Crossfit, and now a new job with Little Egypt Family Magazine. My health and attitude are 100% better. I am Rebekah again.

And now back to why I started this blog....my baby boy (who really isn't much of a baby any more).

And tonight I will close with the quote below. But before I do, I had to miss his soccer game for the first time tonight because of work. It literally broke my heart, but seeing this on Pinterest earlier made it a little better.
